Product Description and Usage: This oil is extracted from the pulp of the fruit of the palm tree Elaeis guinnensis. the palm trees are organically cultivated and the oil is physically extracted (by mechanical pressing) without the use of solvents or other mechanical substances. DUe to its natural antioxidants (tocotrienols) and their low content of linolenic acid (C18:3), this oil is very stable to oxidation. It is semi-solid at room temperature and sometimes a phase separation occurs. This is due to its typical composition, with near 50% of saturated fatty acids, 40% of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and 10% of poly-unsaturated fatty acids.
